Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist (Temp)

Location: Sacramento, CA
Compensation: $25-$27 per hour (DOE)
Assignment Length: 3-5 months (with potential to convert to temp-to-hire for a strong performer)

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable & Collections Specialist for a temporary assignment in West Sacramento. This role is ideal for a driven professional who is comfortable with high-volume outbound collections and working within a true ERP environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full-cycle accounts receivable, including billing, cash application, and collections
  • Conduct 40-50 outbound collection calls per day to follow up on past-due accounts
  • Maintain and update AR aging reports and collection notes
  • Resolve payment discrepancies and customer billing issues
  • Apply payments accurately and ensure proper account reconciliation
  • Communicate professionally with internal teams and external customers
  • Support month-end close and reporting as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Accounts Receivable and Collections
  • Experience working in a true ERP system (required)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (updating aging reports, basic formulas, data entry)
  • Strong phone presence with demonstrated high-volume outbound calling experience
  • Detail-oriented with strong follow-up and organizational skills
